Description
The Pasadena City College Center for the Arts is a landmark project with 87,000 square feet of state of the art classrooms, theaters, labs, studios and more. This contemporary structure is a certified LEED Gold building and utilizes high end custom glazing and architectural panel systems. Aragon Construction provided custom engineered DSA-approved exterior curtain wall, skylights, sloped glazing, and storefronts at the exterior envelope. Aragon Construction also provided a significant portion of the exterior façade including simulated wood grain phenolic composite panel cladding at vertical walls and radius walls. The same simulated wood grain phenolic composite panel was utilized at interior and exterior soffit conditions in expansive areas that encompassed a plethora of custom cut outs. Throughout the building there are several fire rated systems including fire rated storefront systems, fire rated glass floors and automatic fire rated doors.
