Description
Centered in the Los Angeles Arts District, the Produce LA facade is adorned with a binary sequence of single and double wide alternating panels of curtain wall and corrugated metal panels. The side-plane view reveals a shingled sawtooth that rises and falls at varying floor lines, making the facade coordination, attachment and waterproofing a modern feat. With space and schedule limitations, the success of this project depended upon customizing a traditional stick built curtain wall to be unitized and set by 90 ton crane. With careful coordination and planning, the facade came together beautifully, as seen by the bold photos above.
